I believe you are misunderstanding me. Black people used to, and in some country still do, live in fear, fear of the white men. No wonder if they, under circumstances, overreact.

I thought about it, it's that I would have expected him to step back rather than do what he did. But yes, probably it was fear and self-defence - let's try not to scare black men.
